What exactly is Gel X?
Gel X is a full cover soft gel extension: a pre shaped gel tip is applied over your natural nail and cured, giving you length and a perfect shape without acrylic powder or heavy filing. It is the set our own menu calls the most popular and durable, and at $60 it is the extension most of our Royal Palm Beach clients choose for everyday elegance.
How long does Gel X last?
With normal care, our clients wear Gel X beautifully for weeks at a time. One reviewer wrote that her nails lasted six weeks at a time with her artist's attention to detail. Wear depends on your nails and your routine, and we will happily talk through aftercare at your appointment so your set stays glossy and strong for as long as possible.
Is Gel X kinder to natural nails than acrylic?
Many clients find Gel X feels lighter and more flexible than acrylic, and removal is a soak off rather than a pry off, which is gentler on the natural nail underneath. A Gel X soak off is $20 at the salon. If your nails are fragile, tell us when you book and your artist will recommend the healthiest option for you, Gel X, BIAB, or hybrid gel.
